How can I import from Google docs to pages on my iPad.

Have you tried, when at Google Docs in your browser, doing Share > Email as Attachment? You must of course select a format which Pages can read, like MS Word .doc

I found another way too
I also have docs to go on my iPad which is linked to google docs. it has an option in it to open the documents in pages.
