Can I run osx Leopard & bootcamp with windows 7 from external TB SSD?
Bought a new 27" iMac (my first) this summer, but skipped the SSD option, was to expensive, opted to wait for an external SSD solution. In retrospect i wonder wheter my imagined solution actually will work, so here's my question:
1. Can I boot osx Leopard from an external SSD using Thunderbolt, and will i get the equivelant performance of an internal SSD?
2. Can I run Windows 7 from bootcamp using my external SSD, and will I get the equivelant performance of an internal SSD?
Only external ssd with thunderbolt i found is THIS. Is it as fast as the internal SSD i could have bought when i ordered my iMac?
Hope to get some of my questions answered, my regular 7200 rpm HDD a big frustration! 😠
