I have a new mac mini and want you use my LG Super Multi DVD-Rewritter. When I plug it in my computer does not seem to respond to the connection. Additionally the drive will not open until i unplug it from the USB port.
Any help would be appreciated.
Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
1) Open System Preferences/CDs & DVDs and set:
- "When you insert a blank DVD" to Ask what to do
- "When you insert a video DVD" to Open DVD Player
2) Are you sure the drive is Mac Lion compatible, did it come with any software install disc and have you installed any required drivers ? Normally USB wouldn't need these but this isn't always true.
