Fixing corrupt sparsebundle

I've had my Time Capsule for close to 6 months, and now when Time Machine tries to backup, it gives me an error message saying that verifcation failed and I need to create a new backup. I don't want to lose 6 months worth of backups. I have found several sites that provide detailed procedures for repairing the sparsebundle, but it has not worked. Is there any way to repair the sparsebundle so I don't have to forfeit 6 months worth of backups?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, I followed that guide exactly, except I ran the "diskutil repairVolume" command instead of the "fsck_hfs" command. For the final step, editing the plist file, you need to right-click on the sparsebundle and select "show package contents". Hope this helps.
