How do I connect thunderbolt display to MacBook Pro 13' 2010?

I have a 2010 MacBook Pro 13"

OS. Mac OS X 10.06.8

My MacBook Pro does not detect Thunderbolt display.

In Technical Specifications of the display written

System Requirements:

Thunderbolt-enabled Mac computer, including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac

OS X v10.6.8 or later

Does anybody knows how to fix the problem and make monitor work with my Mac?

Thanks advance.

You need a Mac with a Thunderbolt port. You cannot make the Thunderbolt monitor work with your older, non-Thunderbolt Mac. Either get a new Mac with a Thunderbolt port, or get the Apple Cinema Display (or other monitor that supports DVI or Displayport.)

If the computer has no Thunderbolt port it csn't use a Thunderrbolt display. There are no adapters that will help.

See if thy will swap thw Thunderbolt display for the Mini DisplayPort version.

They are the same price.

The Mini DisplayPort version will also work with a Thunderbolt computer.
