Help! Why is iMovie quitting unexpectedly? I've trashed the app and reinstalled/updated but it still quits.

One thing you can try is find Disk Utility under the Utilitities folder inside your Applications Folder. Launch that program, then choose the option to Repair Disk Permissions. Then restart the Mac and try launching iMovie again. Failing that also try deleting the iMovie Preferences file:


Mac HD > Users > (your home folder) > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iMovieApp.plist


Move that file to the trash and restart iMovie and see if it crashes again.
