Need name of good security software for my Tiger Mac
Hi all, I hope everyone had a sweet Thanksgiving. 🙂 My Power Mac G5 needs an anti-virus program, but I can't find any for Tiger. Any ideas? Thanks! Kate

What make you think you need security software for your Mac?
Your Mac certainly doesn't need AV software seeing as how there are none. All the AV software does on Macs is cause troubles.

What are you trying to protect against? There are no viruses for Mac OS X, so it won't help with that; there's only a few harmless malware items, so it won't help with that, either. The only thing Anti-Virus software will do is cost you money, cause endless frustration, and protect you against nothing.
Thanks to everyone who chimed in on my question, whether informational or personal opinion. I'm thinking on all of it since there is currently concern in some camps of a viral attack on the cyber horizon. Maybe I worry too much. Maybe I don't. More shall be revealed, yes? 😉
Methinks you do not worry to much, attacks are on there way though we Mac users have been mostly lucky so far!:)
Mac OS X is built on a Unix base. Unix has undergone 30 to 40 years of hard usage in an University environment. Time will tell.
There are also more security versions of Unix, like SEUnix. Thus, there is a known path to a greater level of security if necessary.

Howdies,
I'm currently running a G5 (late 2004) and for my security, i'm running and older version of ClamXav (version 2.2.1)... I forgot where i got it from but you can google it.. It's free...
