Ipod Listing's Artist idk

Well i organize my ipod myself through itunes but when i go too see the artist on the ipod some artist names come's up twice. ex. Tupac,Tupac,Snoop. why does two tupac names come up? how i can i keep it to one name and all the tupac songs that i have on the ipod stay under his name..
