iCloud not syncing notes

I finally took the step to go iCloud on my Mac, my iPad and my iPhone.

I thought that whatever I have on any of those devices, in way of notes, calender, mail and photos would go automatically on all other devices.

The Calendar

The mail works well (but I don't think that's because of iCloud)

Photo streaming seems to work only with new pictures I'm taking on either iPhone or iPad

It's the notes that don't sync. How do I get them to sync?

On the Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud. Deselect Mail & Notes then reselect that box then restart your Mac.

On the iOS devices, tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Notes off then back on then reset both devices.

Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
