"error 3194"-iPhone 4

I have an iPhone 4 and I updated it from 4.3.1 to 4.3.3. It was updating normally and the restore bar on the phone's screen was nearly to the end when it just stopped. I restored again but then the error 3194 kept coming up. I gave my phone to a friend who said it was easy to fix but a couple days later he gave it back saying he couldn't fix it. Now, whenever I press the power buttun, It doesn't turn on. I connect it to iTunes and it says my phone is in recovery mode, but there's no "connect to iTunes" screen on my iPhone. I also tried restoring while putting my phone in DFU mode but still the same error comes up. I'm currently using my g2X and I really miss my iPhone so if someone could please help out on what I should do it would be great.
