how come the ipad 2 camera looks zoomed in?

i just got an ipad 2 as a gift and then when i opened up the camera it looks like it zoomed in on things but you cannot zoom out anymore. so if im for example, 2 feet away from an object the camera appears to be 1 feet away

Probably has to do with the sensor size (smaller means larger, and it's pretty small in the iPad). You'll just have to deal with it.

Keep in mind, the iPad front camera is only 0.7 megapixels, and the rear camera is only 0.3 megapixels. They do not have sufficient resolution for great photos but work fine for Facetime chats, etc.

No, nothing is wrong with your iPad. They are all that way due to the small sensor and optics that are required to be used in the iPad.

Let Santa know you want a digital camera for Christmas! Then get the Camera Connection kit, load the photos onto the iPad, and share them with your friends via email or iMessage!
