how to block my lost iphone 4s, how to block my lost iphone 4s

I lost my iphone 4s. Can it be blocked through the serial number?

My question is this: I know someone else has it. It was tracked through Find my Iphone. How to prevent it from being used ever again? Is there a service that would permanently blocked and unable to be used? Or anyone could just pop a new chip and ready to go? Since the device is registered under my Apple ID, no one else should have access to use my lost device, but me!

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1

No...the telco (Maxis,digi,celcom..etc) might be able to block the phone IMEI from registering to their network....

But there is no way to fully stop the phone from functioning...

I can just put the phone in DFU mode and give it a full restore...

and kaboom!.. I can use it again!! (although u remotely lock the iphone, wipe it... etc)

According to me (and my friends)... our telco in malaysia will not block any IMEI from registering to their network...they just do nothing although u report to them... to the police...etc...

I try to look for it but they dont show up on me,.. Someome said if have money i can get it for 3k...is there anything u can do to stop functioning my iphone 4s
