Using Image Capture, I have "Scan To:" set to Photoshop CS5. Unfortunately, when I scan anything, it goes instead into a physical file in the Pictures folder. While Photoshop is started (or brought to the forefront if it's already opened), the images never make it to Photoshop.
If I set "Scan to:" to send scans to apps like Preview, everything works fine.
Any idea how to fix this?

I have been wondering the same thing! I am able to use Image Capture and send the pictures to Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.1 but NOT to Photoshop 12.1 (CS 5.1). They are part of the same software package, aren't they? Why does one work and the other not?
Does anyone know if it is even possible to have Photoshop receive and open files directly from Image Scan?
I have the same issue. Is apple looking at this? It's interesting that there was no issue before the printer was directly installed onto the apple product.

Sounds odd, it works for me with Photoshop CS 3. I don't have CS 5, can't figure why it wouldn't work the same way.
