Try disabling Resume > How To Disable Lion's 'Resume' Feature - MacRumors.com
If that doesn't help go to ~/Library/Safari
Move the following files to the Trash.
History.plist
LastSession.plist
Downloads.plist
Then from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache.
Quit then relaunch Safari.
~ (Tilde) character represents the Home folder
For Lion: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library

I couldn't resist Mike... but this is all I get:
The redirect link doesn't load. I'm so disappointed 😁
In any event, if this problem reoccurs after following Carolyn's and Linc's suggestions then write back - your DNS (yours or your ISP's) may be causing this.
I'll leave the lights on 🙂
Try a system reset. It's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc. If that doesn't work, you may need to do a Restore.
Select Safari > Preferences > Privacy > "Remove all website data" to get rid of any cookies or cache data left by the server. Then quit Safari and relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. That will stop the page from reloading automatically.
Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.
Hi and thanks for the quick reply.
I have a MacBook Air, not a mobile device, and I don't really want do experiment with a possible restore.
Regards
Michael
Hi Carolyn.
That did it.
Phew!!!
Thanks so much also to Linc.
PS: John Galt - I am so sorry for you. If you want to I can look for the link I had and bring it down to the valley, next time I fly there 😉
