I am using a MacBook Pro and all of a sudden I cannot connect to the internet using either Airport or even with a direct Ethernet cable. Two iPads my iPhone my Mom's PC and another iMac all are connecting fine via wi-fi. I am using an Airport Extreme connected to the cable modem. I have tossed my System Configuration folder into the trash to no avail. I have also removed the wi-fi connetion from the Network section of System Preferences and re-added it, nothing works and I cannot connect. It tells me that I have the self-assigned IP address of and will not be able to connect to the internet. Everything worked well and then, poof! I can no longer connect.
