Why the lack of support for icloud, wi-fi sync, splashtop, etc. in 10.5???

Does anyone know why there is a frustrating growing list of features that aren't supported in 10.5??

Is there a legitimate technical limitation of 10.5 that prevents these services from working, or is it simply apple's passive-aggressive push to make me pay to upgrade to a newer OS?

btw - it should be false advertising that icloud is "free with iOS5" because it's not free if you have iOS5 and 10.5, you have to PAY to upgrade to a new operating system even though 10.5 is only 2 or 3 years old. Windows STILL supports XP for almost everything, and these days PC users have better access to the full range of iOS5 features that involve interfacing with itunes than Mac 10.5 users...

just sayin' - that's some serious bs...

Post to http://www.apple.com/feedback/ if you are unhappy. This is just a user to user forum.

In the meantime, read this tip and find out if the features you desire are still available under 10.5:

If not, many other webhosts exist on http://www.comparewebhosts.com/ and the software Chronosync many of the same features, if not with as user friendly an interface.

Apple has always been forward looking. The pace of releases is nothing new. If you look at the last 5 major release of Apple operating systems, the average life span of version of OS X between releases has been 2 years.

OS X 10.3 2003

OS X 10.4 2005

OS X 10.5 2007
OS X 10.6 2009

OS X 10.7 2011

Part of the reason Windows has vulnerabilities is because of the 'compatibility' baggage that is carried over from each release. Because each successive version of OS X does not so much of this, those 'technical limitations' really do exist.
