Cannot uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support
Running XP on a Toshiba Laptop. Long time ago I installed an early version of iTunes, Quicktime, Bonjour. When I go into Add/Remove Programs, I can remove iTunes, Quicktime, Bonjour but the auxilliary program called Apple Mobile Device Support will not remove. When I try, it says the source file is not available. So I have tried "Repairing" the file and the same message. I went back to the orginal Installer file (*.msi) and tried reinstalling it. It says there is an older version running. I have stopped the Apple Mobile Device Support service from within Device Manager and verified that it is stopped. Tried all the above again but same result. Out of desperation, I deleted files and folders associated with Apple (in C:\Program Files\Apple... and c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Common Files...).
Now what to try??? I have seen other posts where people are having this or very similar problem. I tried most of the solutions but have not beat it yet. Open to any/all suggestions.
