I purchased a thumb drive with Lion at Apple store. I have a Mac mini with a windows keyboard. How do I get the Mac mini to restore from the thumb drive.
C key does not appear to bring up drive select?

Holding down the Alt-key on startup of your Mini should bring a Boot Selection screen from which (using the left-/right-keys) you should be able to select the ThumbDrive to boot from.

Does the thumb drive contain the entire lion load? or do you need to be connected to the network so it can then download the actual install?

To my knowledge it's the complete OSX Lion.
Apart from updates there is nothing more to be downloaded.

All indications are that it's the complete OSX Lion (Server not included) Internet was hooked up and still unable to get it to work.
