A lot depends on what the Apple Retail store has in stock...usually a refurbished unit, which will have a new battery, new case, replacement of any parts that were bad, and thorough check out by the factory techs.

Yes, Apple will send you the same model with the same specifications as the iPad you originally purchased. The replacement iPad will be new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability.



I assume or equivalent could mean refurbished.
