iTunes Download Folder on Win XP

Where do music tracks download to on a pc Win XP?

I've tried lots of folders: Downloads, My Received Files, iTunes etc. Right click on "View in Windows Explorer" option in iTunes gives a flash of DOS and nothing else. I've searched for any files modified today - none. Anyone able to help?

The temporary files are normally downloaded to <User's Music>\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads and once the download is complete they should moved to the relevant Artist\Album folders, Podcasts, Movies etc. as appropriate. If your library started life in an earlier version of iTunes then the media folder may be called iTunes Music and/or the download folder may be created in the main iTunes folder. And if you've moved the library or split the media folder from it then the paths may also differ.

What is the issue you are trying to resolve? The Get Info, summary tab should show where iTunes thinks the file should be located.
