Controling mic gain when recording audio in Garageband (iOS)...

I am trying to make some recordings of me playing live in garageband.

I have a pretty nice mic that I am running to an iMic then into

my iPad via the USB camera connector.

It seems to work, the problem is the signal is too loud

and a lot of distorition is recorded. Is there a way to control

the mic input gain in Garageband?

You can turn it down in system preferences in the sound section.

No, there is no setting to control mic level in system preferences.

It's under the sound section. Try turning the imput volume down.

Oh... I didn't see you were using an ipad. I don't think there is a way to do it on an ipad.
