itunes chopping off end of songs now that i signed up for match

I have this same problem. It seems to be very random. Songs are being cut off at random times. It happens with many, but not all, albums. And not necessarily every song from such an album is being cut off. Very random; very weird.

And no, with over 12000 songs in my library it's just not practical to resolve this track-by-track, by hand. A global fix from Apple would be much appreciated. I've just filed a Feedback ticket, but couldn't find an iTunes Match option anywhere. So I filed it under iCloud – iTunes in the Cloud. Hope it reaches the right team regardless.

I don't try iTunes Match on my iPhone all that often, so I don't know if my iPhone would display this same erratic behaviour. But it happens all the time on my Apple TV. It's extremely annoying, I think. I would say it's nothing more than reasonable to ask for a full year's refund on iTunes Match if this problem proves to be persistent. Yes, the option of backing up (and 'upgrading') your music is very nice and promising. But the convenience of it all is completely negated by these playback problems, in my opinion.

When I play songs on apple tv from Icloud, theay are all choped!

When I play them with Home sharing, apple tv si uneable to go from one song to the other. It plays the song entirely alright, but then apple tv remains stuck at 0.00 of the next song. I have to go back and play it again to make it move.

Apple needs to get it right. I'm starting to listen my music on spotify. At least there is no issue and it play my songs right!

I have nearly the same issue as everyone else here. Songs cut off about 2-3 minutes in and then skips to the next song, but not every track, it is random. This is an Apple TV and iTunes Match issue only.iOS 5 and iOS 6! Everyone of my other iOS devices work well. At first I thought it was an issue with just my uploaded songs as it happened to those songs to most.However even songs I have purchased from iTunes cut off as well. Sometimes I receive a warning that my Apple TV can not connect to the server and I should try again later! I can play songs fine through Airplay from my iPad and my PC (through iTunes Match) if I become really frustrated. Oh by the way, I use the "shuffle" option a lot in iTunes Match on my Apple TV and it cuts off too!!

I can reset my Apple TV by going into Settings>General>Reset. This reboots the Apple TV and takes about 3-4 minutes to finish, this action usually fixes the issue.I tried it just the other night as I could not connect to the Apple store movie section on this occasion. Anyway I hope the bug is fixed-someday! As well, all of us PAY for the iTunes Match service, don't we?!?!!!!!

Same problem! This is the only place I could find anything about it but still no issue. Almost every song plays about half way through and then skips and goes to the next song. I can only think that this may be caused by the amount of music I have in iTunes that has been matched. Does everyone on here who is having the same problem have over 10,000 songs? It seems when match recycles itself my system slows down and weird quirks happen. I have about 13,000 songs on my iTunes.

I also have my Apple TV plugged direct and for some reason it still loses iTunes. Apple TV has had nothing but a slew of bugs. The concept is great and if it worked I would have no reason to complain. Crappy software! Get your S@#t! together Apple and help us out!. Of course it costs you money to call them with an issue!

It is interesting that I had the same problem. However I posted a comment to Apple and also did a reset on my Apple TV. I am no longer experiencing the problem at all! The songs primarily matched but approximately 15 to 20 percent were uploaded. I cannot explain it but am now happy with the service as I use it for my whole house music system.

Has anyone trying disabling iTunes Match, deleting all of the songs from the iPod/iPhone and syncing using itunes, like we did before iTunes Match? Worked for me...

As an avid promotoer of iTunes and AppleTV, I purchased iMatch only to discover this is an incredibly flawed product. The whole point is to have access to your digital library without having to continue to manage itunes on your phone. Instead, you get a service that constantly buffers and has programming glictches up the wazoo (songs cutting off, playlists repeated, etc.). I spent more time managing the shortcomings of iMatch then actually using it. So I went to amazon cloud player instead. Flawless prodcut except the games iTunes and Amazon want to play with song rights so my whole library isn't available on Amazon Cloud Player. Keep it up iTunes and I'll start buying everything from Amazon

I noticed that more songs that were "Protected AAC files" instead of "Purchased AAC Files" were affected. Perhaps this was just coincidence.

I too am having this problem - I tried all sugestions above to no avail - I then turned itunes match off and back on again in the apple tv settings and now it won't connect to iCloud - just says try again later.

Yeah. I just started having this issue. I generally set up a slideshow from my Flickr account playing an iTunes (Match) and just let it play for general ambiance in the room, but this skipping and Error Occured Loading Content crap is killing the joy in a large way. It seems to have started today and I sure hope Apple gets on this. These threads do not encourage me. At all. Especially considering it seems to be going on for months, and Apple offers only bizarrely obtuse denials or deflections? Not a good look in a viciously competitive market, Apple. You've taken thousands of just my own dollars since the late 90s. Don't get all moody and lose your mind (and support), now!

Details: it seems to be happening to me only on songs purchased directly from Apple. If I skip back and replay, it seems to cut off at the same place each time. The answer--down the road--seems to be stop buying songs from Apple and just import rips or copies of non-apple mp3s/AAC. Hunh. For now, I can play non apple tunes or air stream from my iPhone to the Apple TV, I suppose.

I know apple rarely can cop to being wrong, but usually trots out a fix later when nobody is looking. And with software glitches (which it may very well be, here) we have a better chance of repair than if it is the (admittedly rare) hardware mess up (antennagate). So maybe we'll get lucky soon.

This is a strange problem. I experienced it for several weeks. I did a reset on my AppleTV and the problem went away. We have over 4k tracks most purchased from iTunes..approximately 20% uploaded from local PC. We have not had a cutoff in several months. We have a very good Internet connection..approx 15mb. Also the AppleTV is hardwired Ethernet not wireless. We did not do any fixes to the library. All versions on PC and AppleTV are current. You might want to to look at other devices in network like DirecTV especially if downloading. As not everyone experiences the problem it may be network related?

it's just started happening to me, since I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and acquired Apple TV, and across all platforms: iPhone, iPod and home computer. But I've yet to enable iTunes match, so it can't just be an issue with that.

And I could understand bugs or conflicts with Apple TV, for example, but this doesn't explain why songs cut out while I'm listening to them on my iPod, or iPhone away from home (so no network or wi-fi conflct). There's something bugging within the tracks themselves.

And sometimes, songs don't just skip to the next track before the end. I've had the sound cut out after approx. 3 minutes, but the song just plays out silently to the end of the track.

Apple...we're waiting....

I am having the same issue but only during playback using Apple TV. If I do a complete system reset it will be fine for an hour or so but then will start randomly skipping to the next track. Any ideas?

delete all my songs and reload from the drive to fix.

I tried deleting one of the known issue songs that is now affected on more than 1 external device.....

it works to delete the song and then replace to itunes from external drive.

annoying waste of time.......
