Aug 19, 2012 10:09 AM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby tepley,I play music from iCloud through an apple tv. No stored copies in the apple tv and it has started to frequently skip to the next song before the end of the current song. There is no way to delete and reload as the music is all in iCloud. If you skip back to the previous song it plays correctly?

Aug 19, 2012 10:29 AM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby tepley,Update to apple tv skipping. If you return to the song that skipped and fast forward to close to the end and hit play it plays the end normally?

Aug 20, 2012 6:50 AM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby Matthew Rumbelow,Same issue here with randomly truncated songs playing from the Cloud via AppleTV.
It seems to just chop off the ends (no pattern to it) and then go to the next track...which, as everyone agrees, is very annoying.
Some more details...
Songs are playing perfectly straight from my locally-stored library through iTunes on my mac.
The same locally-stored songs are streaming perfectly from my iPhone or iPad direct to Apple TV.
Only songs streamed through iTunes Match / iCloud are cutting off when played through Apple TV.
It doesn't make a difference (for me) if they're formerly ripped CDs or bought direct from the iTunes store.
DEFINITELY a problem with music streamed from iCloud unfortunately, which, hopefully, will be fixed soon.
Sigh.

Aug 20, 2012 11:41 AM in response to Matthew Rumbelowby BrickyardBrad,Same here on my new Apple TV playing iTunes match from the Cloud. No rhyme or reason to the skipping. I can go back and replay the song that just skipped and it will play through fine the 2nd time. Streams perfectly from my Windows 7 PC. Very frustrating.

Aug 20, 2012 11:45 AM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby stevestoeber, same here. iTunes Match does randomly cut off songs on Apple TV. Sometimes I also get an error saying "an error occurred while playing back, please try later".
Pretty annoying.

Aug 20, 2012 11:57 AM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby VeryQueasy,I contacted Apple Support about this, they refused to talk to me on the phone about iTunes they said my only option was to go through their "express" site. I told them I'd really rather speak to someone on the phone about it, they repeated my only option is the express site. So I've been in contact with Sagar... Basically all he told me is my problem is on my own network not through iTunes which upsets me as that's no help at all. He didn't even reference iTunes Match at all even though I did multiple times in my e-mail. After not responding, I received a follow up from him asking if my problem was fixed. I told him that no, my problem along with dozens others if they would look on their support forums are still having the exact same issue and it's hard to believe it's all of our networks and nothing to do with iTunes Match...

Aug 20, 2012 2:08 PM in response to VeryQueasyby lineangle,I have the same problem and I cannot understand why no official Apple geek has entered this discussion. It is obviously a wide spread problem and will cause me to discountinue using Match unless a fix is produced quickly.

Aug 20, 2012 2:44 PM in response to lineangleby tepley,Don't thinks Apple monitors these. Go to the Apple feedback section for AppleTV and leave message. I did and if they get enough of these maybe they will fix it. Also though about contacting Consumer Reports as they are selling a service that does not perform well. As there are several of these maybe they could do a rating. Apple would not look good!

Aug 22, 2012 8:42 PM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby Klannman,Whats weird for me is that 18/20 songs from an album i just bought all cut off at exactly 1:30, as if i just bought an album of samples... It's really annoying since its not the first time this has happened. It does the same exact thing with individual songs too, even if you delete and rebuy them...

Aug 23, 2012 9:57 PM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby meowkitteh,Apple, where are you during all of this??? You can't expect people to identify every song that is doing this and redownload them. Some people have so many songs that do this, that that task would be virtually impossible. We need a one step solution, please!

Aug 25, 2012 8:55 PM in response to tepleyby tepley,Not sure why but yesterday I let the Apple TV play my music using Match for about five hours and it did nit cut off a single song. This is from a failure rate of about one in ten songs. I have made no network or other changes. Is anyone else experiencing an improvement?

Aug 25, 2012 10:17 PM in response to tepleyby BrickyardBrad,Same here, no problems yesterday whatsoever.
