Dec 13, 2013 1:41 PM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby Diaphanes,Already cancelled Match and synced my iPhone 5 and iPad 2 with my laptop iTunes. Not a problem after three days of listening to my playlists.
I had been dealing with these truncated songs for a couple of years. No solution was ever permanent. I held out hope that iTunes updates would remedy this aggravating problem. None ever did. So many songs in my 7,000 song library were affected, and seemingly randomly, that no song-by-song remedy looked practical. When my Match subscription was due to renew next week, it became an easy decision to scrap it and move on.
This foul episode has soured me on Apple and their inability to address, let alone solve, this obvious problem for so many of their customers.

Dec 19, 2013 1:36 PM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby Justanotherbob,Am running MacBook OS 10.6.8 and iTunes 11.1.3. Am NOT using iTunes Match. Noticed recently that many songs stopped abruptly prior to end (all originally purchased from iTunes Store). Symptoms occured on MacBook, Nano and iPhone.
To fix, while in iTunes, I re-added from music library using File->Add to Library.... I did this for individual songs, as well as all songs from an albums. Seems to fix the issue. Looks like when the files were originally added, there was some sort of corruption due to import process. Hope this helps.

Feb 13, 2014 11:51 AM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby KirkyB,Gah! This is horrible! I have the same problem, with plenty of my songs purchased from iTunes cutting off early on all my iOS devices. No help from Apple on this issue a tall.I have spent thousands of dollars on buying music from iTunes, and subscribe to Match as well - for what? To have a shorty music experience?? It's gotten so bad that I have simply given up playing music now.
PLEASE APPLE FIX THIS PROBLEM.

Feb 14, 2014 6:45 AM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby Rick Uldricks,I just wasted a whole evening deleting and rebuilding playlists and THIS AGGRAVATING PROBLEM STILL EXISTS!
And this problem isn't exclusive to Match - I've had this problem before Apple launched Match.
I have accumulated a significant investment in purchasing music from Apple and I can't fully enjoy the music. In fact, listening to music that I've paid for that cuts off early just makes me angry - great customer experience, Apple.
For YEARS, I would go the to 'Genius Bar' and they would deny ever hearing about the problem even though it is all over these discussion boards. I am certain they have been told to deny hearing of it.
Clearly, this problem is aggravating to those who purchase the music, but it should also make artists, recording studios, and those who supply music to iTunes angry also. I will no longer buy music from iTunes or purchase iTunes gift cards until this problem is fixed - AND APPLE NEEDS TO FIX IT!

Feb 14, 2014 6:50 AM in response to Diaphanesby Wingking1,Its truly mind blowing how long this problem has been going on with no fix...i dont get it..i was an apple shareholder in a very big way and cannot understand why it trades the way it does relative to the market and peers but with this kind of customer service issue going on for literally almost a year w/o any assistance to paying customers who care about their collections of music, I'm starting to understand it. If they dont fix this by the spring, i am gone like my friends over to android and samsung.

Feb 14, 2014 7:28 AM in response to Wingking1by BinkyB,Removed already! You would think if it's that sensitive they would fix it!
Suggest we ALL file a feedback report at http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

Feb 14, 2014 8:01 AM in response to BinkyBby Rick Uldricks,Filled out *another* feedback report. I think I've submitted 3 of these things over the years for the same problem. Hopefully, Apple doesn't delete them like they do with posts they don't like on this board.
This post will be deleted by Apple in 3, 2, 1....

Feb 14, 2014 8:05 AM in response to edwardfrommoseleyby kerfwango,I finally got up the nerve to back up, delete, and re-import my entire library. It did not fix the problem. I have never used Match.
The mind boggles at the apparent indifference of Apple to this issue.

Feb 14, 2014 8:06 AM in response to Diaphanesby Rick Uldricks,Agreed. I no longer buy music because of this problem. I find I listen to more Sirius, Pandora, and Apple Radio. It's a real shame Apple desn't seem interested in fixing the problem.

Feb 14, 2014 8:08 AM in response to Rick Uldricksby BinkyB,I just filed a feedback report too - probably goes in the big round metal thing in the corner.
You would think that the person sitting there looking at these posts would be better off trying to fix the problem wouldn't you? I wonder if they use a bot to search for certain terms? Would 'Calss Aticon' fool it? - if it is a real person looking it would pick up on it...
