Apple Mobile Device Ethernet.

Hi All

Running XP and have a iPhone 4?

Since getting an update to the software on my phone to 5.0.1 I have problems using my phone

as a modem. The Toolbar icon that used to be a usb logo now is a Network icon and has a cross through it

and says "Local Area Connection 2 A Network Cable is unplugged"

When connecting the phone with the usb cable iTunes fires up and sync's the phone, so we know that THAT cable

is fine. When I check ControlPanel/System/Hardware/Device Manager it reports that it is working correctly.

So, what appears to have changed between updates is that it now creates a Ethernet Network instead of usb network.

I made the mistake of backing up onto the computer, and now I can't go back to my old version.

Does anyone know of a solution to this.?

Regards

iPhone 4S, Windows XP Pro
