WHY WON'T ITUNES UPDATE?!

I want to register my new iphone to my itunes account. When I open my account and check for updates it tells me that 10.5 is available. When I click 'download now' nothing happens! Nothing.

I have tried downloading it from the Apple website but still the same thing, nothing.

I have restarted my computer.

I have gone to itunes under Programmes and clicked on fix but nothing again.

I want my iphone! Why won't it update?! Please any recommendations will be hugely appreciated.

Could you walk us through that one in a bit more detail please, dee? (In particular let us know the precise text of any error messages you might get, or, if you're not getting an error message, describe the failure in as much detail as you can.)

I don't get anything at all. I 'install 10.5' but because I already have itunes on my laptop the box that pops up gives me the option to save instead of run. So I clicked save and then it starts to download. The small download box appears showing how long is left and I can see other document that have downloaded before but then when it's complete nothing happens. It's just fnished. So I went into itunes again and plugged in my iphone and it said the smae thing, that I need 10.5. I tried restarting too. I have been through the process over and over of saying yes to download update but nothing happens. One the bar at the top of iTunes very quickly went squiggly the way it should but it was more like a flash for half a second.

🙂 Many thanks. Look in your Downloads folder for the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file you've saved. Now doubleclick the installer file to start the install.

Does that install go through okay?

I can't find the folder and I actually think I cleared it. Let me download it again and I'll let you know!
