I purchased a number of ibooks on my ipad and then synced with mac to backup. All went well. Hard drive crashed. Now, ibooks are still on ipad but not on HD nor am I able to download to iphone. Is there a way to get them to sync with the mac, without repurchasing?

Open itunes, connect ipad, click File>Transfer Purchase.

I appricate your advice but this isn't solving the problem. I do not have the issue of having the books ect on my phone or ipad. They are there. I can't get them back on my Mac. So, for example: I have book ABC on my phone, when I sync with my Mac it says it can't transfer to the phone as it is not on the Mac. So, every time I sync, I get multiple can't find errors. Any addtional advice is most appricated.
Ok, I've got it now. You must delete the erronous listing in iTunes. This is the one with the exclimation point. You can then use the tranfer from iPad/iPhone ect. noted on the attachment.
