QuickTime 10.1 Export Issue "Media may be damaged"?

Earlier I tried to export a video after some trimmings with QT 10.1 and got the error message "Cant not open. This Media may be damaged". But it's a pretty common MOV file, all media players including QT 10.1 itself play it just fine, QT 10.1 just won't export the file.

Did some digging on the internet, looks like I'm not a lone. This is the second time I encountered this problem. The first time I simply changed the Export to location from Desktop to Document and it miraculously worked. This time though it did not. This has to be a bug that has workaround. Any suggestion? Thanks!
