In order for shawmail to work on mobile, not on Shaw’s internet, you have to do the following step:


To access Shaw Webmail from a mobile device, you must first enable Mobile Access:

1. Go to the Webmail Beta site and sign in with your Shaw email and password.

2. Select Preferences then the Mobile Access tab.

3. Select Enabled, enter your existing Shaw password and click Save. If your password does not meet the

security requirements, you must change it before Mobile Access can be enabled.


Go to Shaw webmail:

https://webmail.shaw.ca/uwc/auth

Click "Try it Now" button. this will lead to Shaw Webmail Beta website: Sign in with full email address

Once you get in, Click “Preference”, then “Mobile Access”, then Click to enable “Mobile Access”. Click “Save”

Now, on you ipad, do the following incoming & outgoing server settings:


Now set up your iPhone or iPad:

1. Touch the Settings icon on the Home screen.

2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

3. Select Add Account.

4. Select Other.

5. Select Add Mail Account and enter your account information.

6. Select Next.

7. Choose the POP button.

8. Enter the following information under Incoming Mail Server:

Host Name: pop.shaw.ca

User Name: Your Shaw email address without @shaw.ca

Password: Your email password

9. Enter the following information under Outgoing Mail Server:

Host Name: mail.shaw.ca

User Name: Your Shaw email address without @shaw.ca

Password: Your email password

10. Click Save.

11. Select Yes when you see the message Cannot Connect Using SSL.


Now, you can try to send test email messages. If it does not work, go back to the outgoing server and make sure the port number is set to 587.
