super glue

I accidentally dropped super glue on my macbook pro's power button, now it got stuck. I can't push it. I know acetone will remove the super glue, but will it damage the hardware inside ? Thanks !

Super glue has very high surface tension and is drawn into the tiniest crevices by capillary action, so it has undoubtedly gotten down into the case around the button. You aren't very likely to be able to remove it or anything that's capable of dissolving it from under there, and if you can't get it out, it will just reglue the button as the acetone evaporates. And acetone, a powerful solvent that attacks most plastics, isn't something to be lavishly applied in the hope of releasing superglue that you can't see and whose extent you can only guess about. There's way too good a chance that it will dissolve something it shouldn't, making your problem worse instead of better.

I suspect you're going to have to bite the bullet and replace the top case.
