Wow - we try but problem is not everyone moves as and when they'd like to. Progress is fantastic and exciting yes but in the case in South Africa, due to our terrible exchange rate of R8-something to a dollar, its not always possible for all to upgrade and move forward as quickly and fully as we'd want to. Anyhow - guess you're lucky enough to be in the fortunate position of having great products at great prices and perhaps you can all afford to move with the times. Your comments were really rather uncalled for - Mr Wright - yeah - 'right' !!
Just got an iphone 4s and have discovered this problem also! Is the iphone 4s not supposed to be "the dogs" seems to me so far that it's a piece of crap!!! Can't even do basic stuff like save txt messages or even create a txt message and save it for future use!! Regret signing up for this crap already after just 3 days!!!
Nope - Lumia also has bluetooth hangups - that's from Nokia themselves to me during detailed discussion on Nokia options. All gets technical and one needs be very VERY sure what you getting into with a new phone these days. I can not wait to bet rid of this iPhone !!
Or maybe you just need to move into the 21st century and stop trying to use old technologies like Bluetooth on modern phones. Bluetooth had its purposes back in the day. Better, faster, more flexible technologies have replaced it.
What upgrades are you talking about? If you already own an iPhone you clearly have enough money to afford one of the most expensive phones on the market - and you clearly have an internet connection, so there is no further cost involved to sync via WiFi or the internet connection you already have, using any of the free services to do just that.
If you insist on syncing via Bluetooth you'll have to pay for an alternative phone anyway - which would cost you more than just using the features your existing iPhone already has.
You can't transfer them via Bluetooth.
Sync your Nokia contacts to your computer (which also acts as an important backup) and then sync the contacts from your computer to your iPhone via iTunes.
Then you should probably return it. Sounds as if you are well within the return period. Perhaps the new Nokia Lumia would better suit your needs.
