Error (28) How to fix???? HELP

Hi there,

I sent my 4th hen Ipod touch to apple for repair, and they sent it back without a repair saying it was missused. So as the screen was cracked I brought a new one and replaced it and installed it today.

I've plugged it into laptop and it's saying it's in recovery code, so I tried to restore it and it gets to apple logo with a bar under it and it don't move. Then error (28) comes up on itunes and ipod turns off.

So, how do I fix it and what could be broken as it ain't the scren.

Error 23, 28, 29: These errors may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article. Also attempt to restore while connected with the white USB Dock Connector cable that shipped with your device, on a known good computer and network to isolate this issue to the device. The MAC address being missing or the IMEI being the default value, (00 499901 064000 0), can also confirm a hardware issue. Out-of-date or incorrectly configured security software can also cause these errors.
