IPAD Photo Processing

I would like to process my photos using image processing apps for the ipad. How do I get my photos into and out of the ipad? Have an external hard drive and ipad card reader. Also downloaded monitor calibration app for use with spyder express colorimeter. Do I need anything else to process photos accurately on ipad?

The easiest way to move photos on and off the iPad is to sync them to albums in iPhoto or Aperture or in a folder. You can set this up in iTunes when your iPad is connected. Choose the Photo pane, then select the albums from the program you wish to sync.

I'm curious why you want to process photos on the iPad at all. Since you will be syncing with your main computer, I would think it would be easier to do the processing there. iPhoto, Aperture, Photoshop, and Lightroom have far more processing power for adjusting photos than the iPad.
