Chewed-through power cord

Hi all... so my rabbit (appropriately named Zombie) chewed on the power cord of my pbook the other day whilst I watched. Somehow, in that split second she snipped through about 4/5 of it, so much so that I can see most of the actual metal cable inside the rubber coating. In fact, it sparks. Noooo good. I held it back together and taped it so it should be in completely in contact, and I am confident in the cable working... but my question is whether or not this could hurt my dear computer. Is there any way that this could cause some sort of imbalance in the incoming power and damage my pbook at all?
Thanks!

I assume that Zombie chewed through the DC cord. If Z chewed through the AC cord, I'd asssume Z would not be with us today. As long as the cord is insulated you won't have a problem. If the cord shorts out, the AC adpater will shut down. There's no danger to your computer, but it'll be exciting. Perhaps you should consider buying a new adapter, and getting a toy for the Zomster.
