in principle, iCloud is awesome, but in actual delivery this app needs re-engineering, restructuring, or some kind of a **** of a software update because it is inefficient and definitely dow not add or sustain productivity. maybe rename it to iClear once it's fixed. 🙂 I was able to sync my music with itunes using the direct usb cable connection a million times faster than icloud and iphoto with pictures. SIGH. There was too much hype for what this iCloud app can and should be.

iCloud could hardly be crappier. Streamed music starts and stops (mostly stops) while music downloaded from iCloud stops playing inexplicably even though the track appears to be advancing as if it were playing. This has been the case consistently for as long as I've used the service.

iCloud makes me long for the MobileMe days (which were nightmarish enough).

Pure junk. I'm already preparing to get by with fewer and fewer Apple products because the quality just continues to plummet faster than Felix Baumgartner from a weather balloon.

I spenttime with Apple on the phone and they were clueless and said all their servers were working fine. The goldendays of Apple Gold standard customer service died with the Man Steve Jobs. We have entered a new era of Apple mediocrity and passive customer care.

I have all the product line and ICloud works poorly on every one. Evem my MacBook Pro is sluggish and useless on Icloud. As a Doctor I have 5 mins to check emails . . . forget that!

I was deeply surprised and speechless at the apathy and lack of awareness shared by the Technical person I talked to on my Apple 3 year no cost care plan I paid for up front when I bought my Mac Book Pro. He had never read the complaints about Icloud on line? REALLY?

So very sad when those you seek answers and wisdom from are part of the cover-up just like Toyota did with their recall. Apple has stooped to the primal average service and no explanation to the Icloud debacle. They assume we are just going to go away! Well we are . . . Google gmail is lightning fast and my Apple loyalty and devotion of beating the drum regarding their superiority in this industry is over. It was a great run but with the passing of the irascible iconoclastic ways of Steve Jobs passion for excellence, and his response to "not measuring up" by creating another superior solution . . . those days are gone and buried with Steve.

We are strong in numbers and fickle in spirit when we can't get decent email service which has become as ubiquitous as eating dinner. We will abandone this brand, and will seek higher ground in the marketplace. Apple is at an all time low, and the competition has since passed "go" and will collect my 200 dollars. In my next move on this game board I have to make sure when I roll the dice I don't land on Icloud avenue. The rent there is far too steep and the landlord is not listening or accessible.

Just wanted to add my experience. i have always had the following issues with iCloud and they have never been resolved or gotten better. I submitted feedback on the issues but obviously they dont' care. Lets not even mention the disaster that was iDisk.

-Ever try searching for a particular email on the iCloud website? Forget about it.

-Sending emails through the Mail app takes forever, uploading at 3 kb/sec..seriously I'm not using a modem.

-I gave up on iDisk and now iCloud, next step is to give up on the whole Apple ecosystem. For example, on your iPhone go to the purchased tab in itunes, then click on the All Music selection and watch the never ending spinning wheel. It will never load. To get music from the iTunes app on the phone I hvae to go to each artist individually. This is utterly ridiculous and makes me wonder if any of the programmers at Apple actually use their products?

Ever since iPhone was released Apple has gone down hill. They might make more money but the customer service really does suck.

I found a post about App Store being very slow. The post said that OpenDNS was giving Apple server IP addresses that were not good choices for the user's location. I was using OpenDNS and I switched to my ISP's DNS servers. Software update times from the App Store went from horribly long to very good.

iCloud is now much, much faster too. I have an app (Opus Domini) that always messed up when I switched on iCloud. I thought the app developers were incompetent. Since I stopped using OpenDNS, the app has worked perfectly.
