My first mac was an Apple ll GS. I have a .mac email address . . . and I've seen that this post started in 2011. I truly believe this has gone on for far too long. What do we do to get Apple's attention. In the past 4 months my iCloud mail is extremely slow. I have a fast  Cable service (COX) with Premium service speed. I am resorting to gmail which is 10x faster. Does Apple need to have this issue become more public, and be shamed into fixing this?  Hey Apple, alright already, PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE.

Agree. I'm not using wifi, I'm on an Ethernet link, and it's still painfully slow. I'm uploading a psd file and by my reckoning it will be two days. First time I've used it for anything serious, it will be the last time too. There is so much that is better out there.

Just tried 3 times to upload a 19MB Keynote file from iMac to my iCloud account.  Failed, then just hangs there.  I uploaded using dropbox - 3 minutes and it was done.  What is going on?

150Mb/s internet, 4gb video to Drobbox took minutes, 4gb video to Icloud stopped early it was taking hours. It's Apple again not anyones ISP. Everyone should move to another cloud provider and stuff Apple until they realise they can't just mess everyone about like they do. OSX is excellent IOS is terrible, I can't add memory without buying an overpriced lightening connector storage device at extortionate cost or using a ridiculously slow Icloud. I purchased an Ipad Pro because I use Apple Apps that have more functionality over the Android version so Apple do somethings right. I replaced a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 with the Ipad Pro and I can't believe how awkward IOS is compared to Android, I'm not new to IOS as I often used my wifes Ipad. A 200gb MicroSD card for my S2 would cost £115 where a 256gb Ibridge costs around £270 and it has to be plugged in when used where the S2 has a card slot. With Android extra memory is accessible by drag and drop via a file explorer whilst with IOS an App is required to access proprietary expensive external storage and this controls the type of access to what is usually pretty limited ie the leef app for Ibridge and it's one f the better external storage access Apps but only works on the Ibridge. Apple seem to be losing their way and other manufacturers have caught up on the build quality front.

iCloud speed is a cruel joke. I uploaded a bunch of files to Dropbox and Crashplan at the same time which took a few hours, maybe 5 hours tops. I then uploaded the same files to iCloud.... still going  3 DAYS LATER!!!!! I have a 100mbit down/10mbit up internet connection which is lightening fast for everything...  EXCEPT ICLOUD! Is Apple actually DOING anything about this or are they just madly trying sign up more users making the system even SLOWER?

I completely agree. There is no reason for iCloud to be as slow as it is. We use an antiquated CRM program at my work that is STILL faster to start up and load than iCloud. Free or not - fix it. It reflects poorly on Apple for whom I've been an advid supporter for many years.
