Could be third party Safari add ons causing Safari to quit.

I have a iMac 24 early 2009, since lion install its always locking up and its seems only at the time when I'm using safari, took me ages to pin it down to this. its not drop curtain just locks up cant shift cmd q or any method. i have to power off.
Also some times get screen fragment as well, thought was memory or GPU card faulty so took to apple and they did 2 full days of testing, driving it hard and hot could not find any fault with hardware. They got it with fresh Lion install.
Got it home and once i started using it regally and bare install with no software safari locks ups! what i have done now is stopped using safari for the time being and started using firefox and its not locked up once since! been two weeks, odd i know. it was locking up almost every day.
Any Ideas?
oh i did all the power start up things as well this did not help.
iMac 24 8GB 2td early 2009
thanks
hope this helps.
how to uninstall safari?
go to Settings > iCloud and turn off Safari. Then when asked, select Delete from My iPhone. Clear history and website data. Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website data. Launch Safari and test.
I Turned off 'Safari Suggestions' and this worked for me. Keeping fingers crossed though.
Going to iCloud settings in System Preferences and turning off Safari seems to have worked for me. I turned it back and and confirmed the merge and everything is working perfectly again. Hope it lasts. :-)
Since you seem to be having a problem with safari, I would suggest that you use another program. I use an app called Open Door, it works well for me. If you download the app, you can accept the Terms of Use, and you are good to go. It can be slow sometimes, but it will surely do the trick. It is very reliable for me, plus it is inaccessible by your security program, meaning it will be secured, but no one can access it's content (i.e. cache, cookies, history, etc.) but you.
