I've somehow dragged my desktop screen to make it larger so it doesn't all fit on one page without scrolling to the top and bottom or left and right. My resolution is correct. Any ideas out there?

Go to System Preferences>Universal Access>Seeing tab and make sure Zoom is off.
If you are using a Magic Mouse, you might have engaged the mouse zoom feature.
Hold down Control and use the scroll-down gesture to enlarge (zoom) the screen. Hold Control and use the scroll-up gesture to reduce the view.
