Iphone 4s stuck on connect to itunes screen

I recently bought a new Iphone 4s. When connecting it to itunes it asked to update the phone. I was loading the update when the phone then got stuck on the connect to itunes screen. I did not uplug the iphone at any time while doing this. The phone now doesnt appear in itunes when it is connected.

Ive tried all the trouble shooting options but it is still stuck on the screen.

Has any one else had this problem and how would you go about solving it?
