I get error 404 when downloading podcasts.
Windows XP
I think error 404 means that the file cannot be found.
What is (are) the Podcast(s) and have you managed to download it (them) in the past?
Comedy Central's podcasts have same error...
How do I fix?
Contact the Podcast's producer, they may not know there is a problem. From the Podcast page (for Comedy Central) in the iTunes Store, there is a link to the Comedy Central website, but (I looked) there is so much "stuff" on it that I couldn't see a "Contact Us" link.
Alternatively, if you are unable to contact them, wait. Hopefully, someone else will manage to contact them and report the issue. Once they know about it, presumably they will fix it.
Two epsiodes from the Ultima Thule Podcast were err-404 for three days. It's been fixed this morning and I'm currently downloading them.
Crucially, this sort of problem is the responsiibilty of the Podcast producer, not iTunes or Apple, which is why I have made the suggestion above.
Also make sure you have SUBSCRIBED to the podcast ok? Then it will download. I got the same error and realized my mistake.
