AIM is constantly crashing how can I fix it?

So recently I was IMing and then all of a sudden, AIM crashes. I repeatedly try to access the app but every time it opens it freezes, the refresh sign on the top is spining and then crashes. I un-installed and re-installed it many times but it did not work. I restored my iPod and I downloaded the app and it still didn't work! AIM works perfectly fine on my cell phone and desktop and doesn't have any errors. I did notice one thing though, I recently bought a tablet and since AIM wasn't available for honeycomb, I downloaded and IM app which included AIM. I started to notice that my statuses would disappear and my default profile picture would go back to the original AIM default. Is this a factor in why my AIM is crashing? Why is my AIM crashing? Is there anyway to fix it?
