iTunes keeps displaying this error along with:
"The certificate for this server was signed by an unknown certifying authority. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "deimos.aple.com", which could put your confidential information at risk. Would you like to connect to the server anyway"
So how can I fix this?

Getting the cert info from Safari (Entrust.net, Serial # 946069240), it appears on the trusted list for ios5 (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5012).
You can download the certificate (https://www.entrust.net/downloads/binary/entrust_2048_ca.cer) and manually add it to keychain if you tire of the popup.
How do you add the keychain? It's not obvious at least to me 😟
Thanks to everyone for the advice, but I'd really like to know, if possible, what program, upgrade, or install I did caused this. I don't install anything unless it's from APPLE, so if they caused me problems, I want to know...just for the record.

This problem has been around for about a year with various systems.
Delete your iTunes preferences user/***/library/preferences
and you will get it to open a couple of times, then delete them again.
Or just leave iTunes running forever once it's open until Apple actually pay attention.
iTunes can't verify the identity of the server "deimos.apple.com"
