Dec 7, 2011 5:53 AM in response to doodle117117by Bilbo_cheshire,Your iPod hardisk filesystem is corrupted, due to some mis-operation like disconnecting while syncing, or the sync process timeout due to Antivirus program.
Please try the following.
- Reset the iPod - Press Menu and Center button for about 10 secs till the Apple logo comes ON.
- Let it cycle through the Welcome screen
- Disconnect your PC from Internet
- Stop your Antivirus program
- Connect back the sync cable to your iPod
- When iTunes opens, Restore the iPod
- Safely eject iPod from Itunes, make suure the "OK to disconnect" screen is displayed on the iPod
- Connect back the iPod
- Sync your library in small steps, if it is a large library, split the library into several playlist of 1000 songs.
- After the first sync, eject the iPod safely, and check that the songs are loaded in the iPod.
If the above doesn't work, you need to run the iPod disk diagnostic, to check how bad is the iPod hardisk condition.
Good Luck!
