Can I use a Macbook Air power adapter...

to charge a Macbook Pro? Without damaging anything?

Only if the MBP is shut down or asleep. The Air adapter's maximum output of 45 watts won't be enough to power the MBP and charge the battery when the computer is running. If the computer is working hard, the adapter may not be able to power it even *without* charging the battery, and the battery will be drawn down to supply some of the needed power.

In short, it's not a great idea.
