Q: USB mouse -> ADB port possible?

Hello,

I have an old Powerbook 1400c-166 that I still use from time to time. I'd like to be able to use an optical USB mouse via the ADB port. Is this possible? Is there an adapter that would accomplish this or would it take a re-wiring mod?

Thanks for any insight,

David

In the deep recesses of suppressed memory, I recall that there were ADB-USB adapters when USB first appeared.  I think my first USB mouse came with such an adapter, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are still floating about in the wild.

There was an ADB to USB adapter called iMate (from Griffin) that allowed you to use an old ADB keyboard or mouse with a USB Mac. However, I'm not aware of a USB to ADB adapter. Do a Google search using "USB to ADB" adapter Mac.
