Cannot sync my iphone 4s with itunes

When I first got my phone I was able to sync to my itunes and put all my music on my phone. Today when I went to sync it again, it wouldn't work. My computer (pc) recognizes my iphone as a camera and asks to upload pictures, but my iphone doesn't show up at all in itunes. I've tried restarting both phone & computer and that doesn't work. I also uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it and it still won't sync. This is so annoying. Someone please help me!!

I've also tried syncing with wifi and that doesn't work either.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1

Sounds like the Apple Mobile Device Service isn't starting properly. You can try to do a CTRL/ALT/DEL and then go to services and check to see if this has started or not. If it hasn't try starting the service. If this doesn't stay started you will probably need to reinstall iTunes
