My volume randomly decreases on the Iphone 4G

Have a new Iphone 4S. Randomly the volume just decreases. It does not appear the volume buttons are stuck or jammed. It is very annoyoing. While listening to music it will randonmly decrease to zero. If you try to increase the volume, it will go up. Once you release the up button it will just go down.
