network problems

Hello all.


I am on a wired (to Basestation Extreme) network. I have been having serious problems for the last 24 hours as far as Internet access is concerned. It will work fine for a few seconds then the next page will not load at all. Connection is disconnected.


I have tried different browsers, nothing wrong with the modem or router (I can access it fine on my iPad 2 for example). I've tried the following so far' repair disk permissions, turn firewall off.


No difference yet.


Any clue?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7), 27 Inch, i5, mid 2011
