Motherboard dead. What to with a G5?

I have a PowerMac G5 which is 7+years old. The motherboard was replaced three times over the life of the machine. It died again and it is finally time to replace it. I have a new iMac taking it's place.

What does one do with a PowerMac G5? I doubt anyone will want to buy it since the cost to replace the motherboard would almost be equivalent to getting a new Mac, plus it is old technology.

Do I sell the parts separately? I have a 17 Apple Cinema (plastic frame version). An internal CD burner that was replace with one that can actual burn label infornation on the disc itself. 2 x 8GB SDRAM.

I have a local third party Mac store. Should I see if they need parts? If not, where could I take it to be recycled?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
