iphone 4s cant connect to computer

i want to connect my iphone 4s to my computer, so when I connect it with the USB line, it shows the power sign on my phone, but no reaction on my computer. what should i do to fix it? i have already reinstalled the Apple Mobile Devices, and also for the itunes. but still not working..
